Ellipsoidals are stage lighting fixture called for the ellipsoidal reflector that is used to collect and direct the light through a lens barrel. Ellipsoidal lights come in LED, HID or traditionally Tungsten Halogen. There are many types of ERS (Ellipsoidal Reflector Spotlights) that are designed and used for differerent kinds of applications in the entertainment and display industry.
Ellipsoidal reflector light (abbreviated to ERS, or colloquially ellipsoidal or ellipse),ellipsoidal may also be referred to as Profile Spotlights (especially in Europe) because the beam can be shaped to the profile of an object.
